The library is an essential part of any community. This renovation and extension of the Normal College Building, in the heart of Truro’s downtown, will help create a vibrant central Town Square framed by the existing Farmer’s Market, Fire Hall, Police Station and Museum. This project will allow the Normal College to continue its long history of education in Nova Scotia and to function as a new cultural hub for the town of Truro.

The material pallet has been drawn from the local context and is carefully chosen for its civic nature and high quality. The composition of the facade draws its regulating lines from the existing building ensuring a sensitive, beautiful yet modern addition to an important heritage building.
